Project: During DMA, I have been working on my graphic novel, Origin of light. Below, is the character sheet for the three main characters of the story.
For the concept art of the characters, I wanted it to have a connection to a scene in the story for each character. Here, I wanted to show the progression between sketch to fully colored, while he is in an important location in the book.
I drew the two leading main characters front facing because it is in the perspective of the main character.
For the first potential cover of Origin of light, I wanted to show events/hints within the front cover so the reader could guess what happens in the story. On the right is a 3D mock-up of what the cover could look like when it is printed.
Below are pages 1 and 5 from Origin of light.
I practiced drawing backgrounds and rooms for the Origin of light. Below, is a study of a building that will be used as the third main location within the story.
This is the first time that I drew a character rotation/turn around. The inspiration for the cyborg arms and eye is from the character Genos from "One punch man."
For these piece's I wanted to practice coloring, poses/anatomy, and clothing. For each character I wanted them to have complementary colors incorporated into their design.
For this piece I wanted to illustrate a scene that looked like it was from a show or movie. The inspiration for the character is from my old comic that I made a few years ago that included knights.
This original character is inspired by the power abilities of earth bending from the show "The last air bender" and for the outfit, a ninja.
Here are some practices on drawing glasses. The character on the left is a personified version of the bunny in the background. The one of the right is from the anime,"Michiko and Hatchin."
Here is a fanart drawing of Mob from "Mob psycho 100." I wanted to show both sides of the character without having to draw two different pieces. So, I drew Mob's other form behind him like a shadow.
For this character sheet that I did at the start of DMA, I wanted to showcase the character in opposing outfits. The outfit on the right is futuristic, while the one on the left is older looking clothing.
